I've raised £20000 to Support 'Matthews Mission' on his road through rehab and into independent living after an accident left him parylised below the chest.

For anyone who doesn't already know, our very good friend Matthew Williamson had a life-changing accident at the end of November while at work. He suffered a fall from a ladder which severed his spinal cord and very sadly has now left him paralysed from the chest down.
Matthew has been living the dream out in New Zealand with his amazing partner Justine and is currently undergoing the rehabilitation process in South Auckland. It is a slow process with the aim of getting him into a chair and to become mobile as soon as possible.
In the face of adversity, he has been so upbeat and an inspiration to all those around him, not to mention still managing to make us smile with his cheeky sense of humour.
Our first fundraising campaign has now hit a very healthy target that should cover Matthew's flights, insurance and care to get him home from NZ to Wales.
We are so so thankful to everyone who was kind enough to donate and help out.
As we move into a new year we now re-focus and look towards Matthews future.
We have set up this UK based fundraising page for exactly that.
When Matthew is home he will face many obstacles to overcome and any funds we can raise to alleviate any financial worries for him and his family will go a long way.
To follow 'Matthews Mission' head to Instagram and follow @matthews.mission for all of his progress through rehab.
Please spread the word, donate, fundraise and give what you can. Your words of encouragement go a LONG way too.
