These are the words of Matt Pollard, one of the most inspiring people I've ever met. At 19, he was given the news no teenager expects to hear: terminal brain cancer. But as if this news wasn't enough of a blow to the family, Matt's mother Lisa was also diagnosed with cancer (Lymphoma) shortly after.

As you'll have seen in the video, Matt reached out to me for help to get the car that he co-owns with his dad Andy fixed up and show-ready as a thank-you to Andy for being the family's rock during unbelievably difficult times (as has his sister, Liv).

And so I - along with friends and amazing businesses who have donated parts and expertise - have gone to town on the car, transforming it from an ugly duckling into one of the best examples in the UK!

That's a very brief summary of Matt's story, and one I'm sure will resonate in some way with everyone reading these words.

So to the entire car community - let's rally together and show our love and support of Matt and his incredible family. They're going through tough times right now, so wouldn't it be amazing to raise some funds to enable them to achieve and experience anything they want to (even if that means Matt gets another tattoo!)

"You're owed nothing, and you can't feel sorry for yourself" (but we can at least raise a tonne of money for you guys!)

To the Pollard family - Matt, Andy, Lisa and Liv - this is not charity. This is simply us, a collective of car lovers, banding together to show our love and support any way we can. So if that means we can get you that private jet to America, then wouldn’t that be amazing.
