Story

Jessica was just like any young girl enjoying life until she became unwell and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in August 2021 . The day after Diagnosis she was taken to Surgery in The RVI Newcastle to have a Port a Cath Fitted to allow her Chemotherapy and other Medicines . Unfortunately Jessica asperaited (vomited)and contents went into her lungs and she was transferred into intensive care on A ventilator for the next 2 weeks . She had many emergency blood Transfusions, Platelets and by Oct the chemotherapy was already affecting Jessica’s legs so she needed to use a wheelchair. At the end of October after she was administered 1 of the most deadly chemotherapy treatments she developed Sepsis and ended up back in intensive care with Neutropenic Septic Shock which put a strain on her heart and other organs. She was transferred to Freeman Hospital where her parents were given the news that she may not make the night .She suffered a Cardiac Arrest and her heart had stopped and she had to be resuscitated. .
She has to be carried upstairs to use the toilet and to use bath on a shower seat. She suffers so much pain in her legs which prevents her from walking which they now know due to being diagnosed with AVN Avascular has been caused by her treatment and results
In temporary or permanent loss of blood supply to the bone. They are waiting for an MRI to confirm the extent of the damage and treatment moving forward. The treatment has also affected her heart she has a leaky valve on her left Ventricle where blood is bleeding back into her heart as the valve isn’t closing and she is on daily heart . My aim is to covert a utitly room in to a shower or wet room with toilet and hand basin so she can just wheel into there when ever she needs independently. Every penny counts x

. I have the echo involved so publicly is there if need be
