Story
Hello, I’m Mathew James Creamer from Conwy, North Wales. October last year, (2018) my best friend my Nana, Mavis Creamer passed away from that evil disease ‘CANCER’.
Fortunately, as I’m part of a large loving family, there were enough of us to ensure she had a visit every day and my lovely cousins Nicola, Rachel & Gemma & Aunty Karen & Janet stayed over night with her, As a family we made her last months she spent alive were happy months.
Other families can be less fortunate, as they don’t have anyone to support them. Some families don’t have enough money to pay for the fuel to get to appointments, hospital visits or able to afford to take time off work to visit and ensure there loved ones last weeks on earth are happy ones.
In memory of my Nana and to celebrate her life, I will be along with my brother Michael Creamer, cousin Christian Pattinson, Uncle Paul Creamer and some close friends (anyone else is welcome to come along, please get in touch) taking on the 3 peaks challenge in 24 hours on Saturday, August 10th 2019.
• Ben Nevis (1,345 m or 4,413 ft), the highest mountain in Scotland
• Scafell Pike (978 m or 3,209 ft), the highest mountain in England.
• Snowdon (1,085 m or 3,560 ft), the highest mountain in Wales.
I am raising funds for local families to help and support them & also for the Alaw Ward in Bangor Hospital where my nana, Mavis Creamer was cared for. With the funds I raise I aim purchase a coffee machine or televisions or anything that will make their last few months, days or weeks comfortable for patients and their families on the ward.
I have booked accommodation for the Friday 9th August in Scotland and I am in the process of sorting travel arrangements so please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to join me on this challenge!
Any help is better than none, even just £1 can make a difference. Both my businesses, Conwy Cleaning Solutions and North West Event Solutions have sponsored the event by covering the cost of the overnight stay in Scotland, the fuel cost from each peak, t-shirts and posters!
We are also doing a Bungee Jump on the 6th of July in Manchester, holding a charity event night for my birthday on the 4th of May at Conwy United Football Club and doing Cardiff’s Half Marathon in October. Any more ideas we are welcome to add anything on or if anyone would like to join us message me
I would like to thank the Immortals Gym, Mike Egan for helping me get into shape ready for the challenge and to Ben Seas from Seas Design for designing the posters I will be using to help promote and raise funds.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
