Home Grown Ski Racer going for gold

I currently represent Great Britain in U16 Alpine Ski Racing Slalom, Giant Slalom and Super-G as part of the GB Development Squad. Starting out at Gloucester dry ski slope as an after school activity age 6, I was lucky enough to have the coach 'take me on' as part of her alpine race club which provided the route to my first British Championships in France at age 8.

I have dedicated all holidays (and some school term time) since then, plus kept my physical and mental form strong alongside my school work (with GCSE exams looming!). I had great success in this years English Championships in Italy, taking a gold for Giant Slalom and placing first overall and a Silver for Slalom and placing third overall at the British Nationals. Recent International races in Slovenia and Italy places me 25th in the world for GB U16 Slalom and Giant Slalom .

I am fully committed to taking even bigger strides over the next 5-10 years in striving for World Cup level, spurred on by the recent Winter Olympics, which have been awesome! Especially seeing British ski hero's Dave Ryding (placing 9th in Slalom!), Laurie Taylor (placing 26th in Slalom!), Charlie Guest and Alexandra Tilley doing us all proud. Paralympians Millie Knight winning giant slalom and downhill silver and Menna Fitzpatrick winning giant slalom bronze, plus Kelly Gallagher placing top 10, is even more awesome!!

I am heading in to U18/U21 next season which will see me going up against adults at International level for every race. Hence reaching out for help!
