Story
Our darling baby boy Max arrived on Thursday 21st November at 7.09pm, weighing 7lb8oz.
Sadly there were complications which meant that Max was too poorly to stay with us, and we had to say goodbye the following day. We and our families had a very short amount of time with him and he is now sleeping peacefully, but has taken a big piece of our hearts with him.
During our time at Broomfield Hosptial, we were able to stay in The Blossom Suite, a room that looks just like all the other rooms on the Labour Ward from the outside. However, once inside, you begin to realise how important and special a room like this is. It was a place where we were able to spend time as a family and come to terms with our devastating news away from others, but most importantly a place where we spent our last few hours with Max. The care and service we received from the staff here during our stay was outstanding and we could not have asked for any better.
This wonderful room is funded by charitable donations, mostly from other families who have been unfortunate to be in the same position as us. We hope that in Max’s memory we can help ensure that precious keepsakes such as hand and foot castings and the printing of professional photos, taken by volunteers, can continue to be taken home by those like us who never got to take their little ones home.
Thank you for making your donation in Max’s memory. 💙
