Story

I DID IT!!!! 1 MILE OF BURPEES (714) IN 2HR 54 MIN.....

Ruby is a very bright, very beautiful 11 year old, she suffers with a condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2, this horrendous condition affects every part of her body except from her diaphragm

On October 11th Ruby was admitted to Birmingham's Children’s Hospital to have her scoliosis fixed with metal rods as it was making life very difficult for her - in hospital she developed sepsis and after 3 weeks on the ward and numerous operations she was admitted to intensive care in critical condition where she remained for 52 days, her mum, dad and sister waiting helplessly for her to respond..

She did eventually come out of intensive care and she was brought home on December 22nd 2017 where it has taken a huge amount of care to get her back to her chatty, bubbly self.

I want to do something really special for ruby and getting her a beach chair will enable her to experience the joy of the seaside.

Deciding on how to raise money was easy it had to be something that would take me out of my comfort zone, something that would hurt me. I can run a marathon or cycle the length of the country but i wanted something that would test me....that's when i came up with The Burpee Mile. 1 whole mile of Burpees.... So on Sat 26 May 2018 I will do a mile of burpee's around Worcester Racecourse, starting at 0900hrs and aiming to finish as quick as i can.

All the money raised will go directly to Ruby to buy the Delichon Hippocampe beach buggy.
