Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
My Mum and Step Dad moved to Lincolnshire from Kent 2 years ago because they needed to buy a bungalow due to ill health.
They couldn't cope with stairs any more but unfortunately didn't have enough money from the sale of their house to buy a bungalow in Kent due to the high house prices here
They reluctantly bought a bungalow in Lincolnshire as this was the closest area to Kent that they could afford.
On the 28th of September last year, we had terrible news. My Sister, aged 45, was rushed to King's College Hospital where they found she was riddled with cancer. An inoperable brain tumour, lung cancer.... It had spread everywhere. Within 10 days, she had passed away leaving us all in complete shock as there was no indication that she was ill prior to this.
My Mum had to travel back and forth by train from Lincoln to London to visit her but unfortunately she didn't get to see my sister when she was conscious and able to speak. She had slipped into a coma when she arrived and we were told there was nothing else that could be done apart from keeping her comfortable until she passed away
My sisters death has made it clear that life is so very short and that we all need to be close to our families and friends.
My Mum has cared for so many people and given so much to others during her life and I'm devastated to think that her retirement could be spent in isolation and unhappiness.
If there is any way you could donate something please, no matter how small, if I hit the target then she can afford to move back to Kent,. We desperately need your help and I am hoping that you can make this happen.
Thank you and I hope you can help me bring my Mum back home where she belongs.

In loving memory of my sister who would want my Mum to be happy and live out her retirement near her family and friends.
