To all my lovely family and friends I want you to know I am coming home soon! Thank you so much for all your support which has certainly kept me going this past year. I don’t know what I would have done without you all. I know you'll understand that I am going to need time to adjust when I get home. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared and left such lovely messages. Since the target was set, we have gained a better understanding of Maxine’s needs. As you are aware, Maxine is unable to move or feel below her neck and will need a chair designed especially for people in her situation. The technology is amazing but not cheap - between £16,000 and £18,000. So we need to raise the target to £20,000. The additional money will go towards an extensive array of equipment which would give Maxine a better quality of life.
