I've raised £2500 to help fund a Medical Assistance Dog in Max's name and in his memory

Our nephew Max always seemed to have a special connection with dogs. He always had time for them and they loved him for that.
He was taken from us suddenly and tragically in March of 2020 aged just 13. He suffered complications after a heart operation which was supposed to give him a new lease of life. After 4 harrowing days of life support we knew we had to say goodbye to Max forever.
This was just when the world was beginning to feel the impact of the pandemic and as a result we could not have a funeral or mourn him in the way we should have done.
In Max's memory we would like to sponsor the training of a Medical Detection Dog . These incredible animals are just beginning to show us the full immensity of their skills in detecting illness long before it is noticeable to humans. I have long believed dogs can contribute to our health in so many ways and this is just one.
Carly and I and our dog Dyce (of course) intend to run a circuit around the 6 hills that surround the beautiful valley that gives Winscombe its name. Its a 17.5 mile run and a total climb of 720m!
Fancy joining us? If not maybe make a donation instead! It would be very much appreciated.
