Story
Three years ago this month, I was fortunate to recognise a squint in my 17-year-old son's left eye. A mother's instinct told me that something wasn't right. Our family optometrists confirmed this. David, my son, was immediately referred to Kings College Hospital, where he was diagnosed with central neurocytoma, a rare intraventricular brain tumor that affects young adults.
The medical team sucessfully operated and removed the beign tumour, and the staff care was excellent. I was fortunate to have my family support , the excellent NHS, a mother's instinct and the the divine intervention of the Higher Power.
This year I wanted to give back to a cause close to my heart. I chose the Brain Tumour Charity because of the invaluable resources such as; HEAD SMART ,a symptons card which is available for parents/carers or anyone working with children; and the important research that they fund working to erradicate brain tumours.
Please join me to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity.
Thank you.
