Mayflies are a new peer-to-peer research group, recording oral histories of activism. Our first project began in 2026 - we have been interviewing activists who work with an ethos of 'DIY'.

Do-it-yourself is our own approach, as a group of young volunteers, training ourselves as oral historians through skill-shares, collective learning, and our interviews themselves.

We are crowdfunding to resource our work, seeking funding for quality recording equipment, training, events, and membership to the Oral History Society, which will connect us to further resources.
