The Mayor, Cllr Doug Rathbone, has grown a substantial beard during lockdown! It is now time for the beard to come off and to use this milestone as a way to raise money and awareness of his charities:

- CAP (Christians Against Poverty, capuk.org), which provides free debt help with practical support in local community groups

- The Well Communities (www.thewellcommunities.co.uk), which gives practical live-in support to those recovering from drug and alcohol addiction

On Saturday 26th June at 10.30am, the Mayor will be at the Birdcage on Finkle Street where a barber will endeavour to remove the beard in public!
