Story

Every year, the Mayor of East Staffordshire raises money for charity. This year the Mayor, Colin Wileman and Mayoress Jean Hiatt have chosen St Giles Hospice and C.R.E.S.T as their chosen Charities.

On the 11 August 2019, a group of us including the Mayor himself and of all ages will be running the Burton 10k. The Mayor's team consists of:

Colin Wileman, Conor Wileman, Tom Read, Steven Casey, Holly Sparrow, Alessandro Tedesco, Jenna Harman, Kev Higham, Archie Higham, Sean Durkan and George Allen.

Please give generously to these amazing causes:

St Giles Hospice support and care for local people whose illness may not be curable, whenever and wherever they need it most. They help more than 7,000 people a year facing the challenge of a potentially incurable illness and provide bereavement support to more than 2,000 people every year.

C.R.E.S.T is a small Burton upon Trent based charity focused on improving the lives of those with learning or physical disabilities. The charity is over 40 years old and it ensures their service users take part in activity clubs and day trips, something which they wouldn't be able to do on their own.
