Story
If you have found this page, you are most likely a friend of Manchester Baseball Club, and if you have ever played against the A's or Bees over the past fifteen years or so, you will hopefully be lucky enough to have met Ribby.
Ribby was a pet to Johny and Emma Creelman, both dedicated members of Manchester Baseball Club, but he was so much more than that! Ribby spent his entire life round baseball, and was just as much a member of our club as anyone. He would attend training, games, festivals and most importantly go and fetch foul balls (saving the club a small fortune in equipment costs).
Ribby sadly passed away this year, and in honour of him and to continue his memory, we are looking to match Johny and Emma's contribution and purchase some seating for anyone who wants to stop and watch the game, as Ribby did every week.
The reason this justgiving page has been setup is because we have had a overwhelming number of people ask how they can contribute and pay respect to Ribby, Emma and Johny, and this is the best way we can think to do so. To everyone who has gotten in touch, not only from MBC, but from other clubs around the UK, thank you so much.
We will assess the money raised and our options with seating, but we are looking to purchase a couple of wooden bench style seats with a plaque in memory of our best boy, in the hopes that people will stop and sit, enjoy baseball and maybe go and fetch the occasional foul ball on Ribby's behalf.
All proceeds will go towards this seating endeavour, the club won't keep a penny of this money for member usage, it will all be used for the benefit of others.
Thank you in advance.
