Story

We are proud to be raising £2,500 in support of the Mark Master Masons Benevolent Fund as part of the 2035 Festival in Derbyshire.

The Mark Benevolent Fund (MBF), established in 1868, is one of the UK’s most significant Masonic charities. Its mission is simple but powerful: to provide swift and meaningful financial support to Mark Master Masons, their families, and a wide range of charitable causes in the wider community. Over the years, the Fund has distributed millions of pounds—helping with essential living costs, medical care, mobility aids, and supporting major charities such as St John Ambulance, cancer support organisations, and emergency services.

Each year, a different Province hosts a Festival to raise funds for the MBF, culminating in a celebratory event where the total raised is announced. These Festivals are at the heart of the charity’s work, bringing people together to make a real and lasting difference.

To contribute towards the Derbyshire 2035 Festival, Trevor Brearley is undertaking an incredible challenge: walking the famous Coast to Coast route from St Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay...a journey of approximately 190 miles across some of the UK’s most demanding and beautiful landscapes.

This is no small feat. Covering nearly 200 miles on foot requires determination, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose and that purpose is to support those who need help the most.

Every pound raised will go towards the Festival total, helping the Mark Benevolent Fund continue its vital work providing relief to those in distress and supporting life changing charitable initiatives.

We would be incredibly grateful for your support, whether through a donation or by sharing this page. Together, we can help turn this challenge into something truly meaningful.

Thank you for helping us make a difference.
