Story

Hi, I’m Joe from Bristol. Around eight years ago, I connected with a young community leader in Cameroon named Wirba Usmaila Tata. Through him, I learned about the Anglophone Crisis and the huge impact it’s had on ordinary people, teachers, farmers, families, and entire villages. Despite losing his community centre to the conflict, Tata has never stopped working. His organisation, Mbiame New Vision Multi Purpose Farming and Development, teaches sustainable farming, supports local families, and provides educational programmes in some of the hardest hit regions.

I’ve supported his work over the years through fundraising and grant applications, and now we have a chance to secure something truly life changing: five hectares of land that can provide stable income, food security, and a new base of operations for Mbiame New Vision’s projects. I’ll be travelling to Cameroon next year to help on the ground and film a documentary about the crisis and the incredible work New Vision continues to do.

Any donation, big or small, moves this project forward. Thank you for helping us build something sustainable and hopeful for a community that truly needs it.
