Story

Alex will start the fund raising by being very brave and having his head shaved, we all know how much Alex loves his hair and has always dreaded going bald.

Over time we have had three babies who have all needed the specialist support of the Neonatal Unit at RHCH. Josh was born in April 2000 at 28 weeks gestation, Faith was born in November 2006 at 29 weeks gestation and most recently our son Codi was born in June 2017 at 32 weeks. They all required specialist help at birth with their breathing and infections as they were all born too soon. The staff in the unit were so supportive and reassuring, always on hand with explanations and answers. The care they gave us and our babies was always above and beyond. Having to leave your baby in hospital every night while you go home is not an easy thing to do but even during those times they always welcomed phone calls with information and reassurance no matter what the time.

We would like to give back to the unit and raise money for specialist life saving equipment for babies born poorly and born early.
