At the end of September I will be cycling from Edinburgh to London, a journey over 450 miles, which will take up to 7 days, if I cycle around 8 hours a day. I'm doing this to raise money for ICS, an organisation which is funding my trip with VSO volunteering to Khulna, Bangladesh, where I will stay with a family for 3 months and offer my skills and my efforts on local projects to improve local living standards. The money does not directly fund my trip, but is compulsory to raise as ICS is 10% funded by volunteer fundraising (90% government funded) and so the money will in turn go and help other volunteers who wish to take part.
