Hundreds of thousands of children and young people in Karachi don't go to school, because their parents simply cannot afford to pay the fees.

As a teacher I know the difference and education can give to a child and their whole family, especially in a city like Karachi. My friend, Michael Pearson set up Hope through Education in 2014 to try an make a difference to some of the young people that he was in contact with. Since then HtE has helped over 100 children to access education and helped to fund the salaries of 20 plus teachers, to keep a school running in one of the most under privileged areas of the city.
