Story

I am going to be doing the Snowdon Horseshoe in order to raise money to help find a cure for VHL, I will also be doing other smaller events in the meantime. The reason I am so desperate to find a cure is because I have VHL.

VHL is is a genetic condition characterized by blood vessel tumors in up to ten areas of the body. These tumors can be benign or cancerous. At some point in my life I will get extremely ill, and may have to have numerous operations.

Last year I realised just how hard this journey with VHL is going to be, that it is going to effect my life massively. I have to go for regular checks every year to see if anything has grown or appeared. Every time I dread a phone call with my results.

I read stories about so many people who have VHL and who are younger than me and have already had numerous brain surgeries. They are my inspiration and they are what make me want to do this even more.

Please help me make this happen, anyone who would like to join me on the day to do the Snowdon horseshoe are more than welcome. I have not yet set a date but hopefully thinking the last bank holiday in August.
