In Spring 2017, I am planning to travel to Nepal with Loughborough Student Union's Action team to volunteer to rebuild schools in the Helambu region and help unprivileged children who's lives were severely affected by the 2015 earthquakes. We will be working with the MondoChallenge Foundation, a charity who have been working for the past 12 years to help improve the quality of education in schools.

In spring 2015, the previous action volunteers travelled to Nepal and helped to build a girls hostel building which was then unfortunately destroyed the following month in the earthquake. Volunteers in 2016 started to rebuild the hostel and us 2017 volunteers hope to finish off the process! The money raised will go towards the project and material costs, as well as transportation and accommodation costs
