My name's Megan, I'm 16 and in Summer 2018, along with 8 other girls, will be going on the trip of a lifetime to Costa Rica and Nicaragua - my greatest challenge yet. I was born with scoliosis and after having surgery at 2 years old so doing World Challenge really is going to be a challenge for me. Over the years, I've built up my confidence and coordination and have completed my Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh awards, proving to myself what I can do something that I once thought was physically impossible for me. I see World Challenge as the next step up from this as well as enriching me culturally and helping me to become more independent. During our four weeks in these completely different and foreign countries, I will be taking part in hikes, a voluntary project, most likely helping to build a school for children less fortunate than ourselves and many other fun and exciting things but to make these all possible, I need to raise just under £5000. So I need your help! Please give whatever you can and know that not only are you helping me with a once-in-a-lifetime experience but helping other children, who without some assistance, wouldn't have access to education as we know it.
