Story

In January 2025 I was 27 weeks pregnant and my waters broke. Knows as “PPROM” ( prolonged rupture of membranes). I was in labour and eventually delivered our bay boy at 32 weeks where he stayed in special care for a month. Before and after combined had us nearly in hospital for three months. During this time many things went wrong, there where many rocky moments and I truly don’t believe either me or my son would be alive to tell the tale if it was for the charity little heart beats who are specifically set up to help with parents who are dealing with PPROM and sadly sometimes the babies who pass away Becuase of it. But also the INCREDIBLE care the neonatal nurses provided us in Raigmore hospital. They truly carried our family through so much. To show our appreciated I have decided to do some fundraising! Me and my lovely friend Dora are going to embark on an overnight hike and complete size Munro’s (mountains) in may this year. I am also going to donate my wedding dress to be made into smaller outfits for babies who sadly pass away in SCBU at Raigmore hospital which will be done by a very kind lady from my work! Depending on the amount raised I’m hoping to donate 70% to littleheartbeats and 30% to SCBU with my wedding dress! Any donation at all if you can would be greatly appreciated or even a share so this reaches a larger audience! Thankyou so much the Geddes’s.
