Story

The average Length of stay for a young person within a mental health hospital is 50 days... which by no means is the start or end of the Journey within mental health services so I thought as it is Mental health awareness week starting on the 13th May lets try and raise some money to help make that journey as easy as possible!

Mental health awareness week this year is focusing upon Body Image - how we feel and think about our bodies so I felt I would set myself a challenge to show how amazing our bodies can be, as someone who has struggled and struggles to be positive about my body I feel its important to show the young people I work with how to be kind to yourself and be proud of what our bodies can do... so I thoughts lets do 50 km a day for 50 days.

Any money raised will go towards a sensory wall within the Childrens Mental health service Lambeth CAMHS to ensure the waiting area is as welcoming and calming as possible, as from feedback this can be a very stressful time for a young person coming into our service.

Challenge : 50 km every day for 50 days in which I am also recruiting friends, family and anyone who wants to join in.. please join me for a ride and donate to such a Wonderfull cause!
