Story

In Feburary 2018, along with a group of people part of my local church, St John the Baptist, Burscough, I will be travelling to Uganda to spend 10 days working within the community, with the charity International Needs. Whilst we are there we will be visiting the local children in their schools, carrying out home visits to local families, visiting local facilities such as the health centres and wells and continuing some of the work that our groups have previously carried out on these facilities such as the wells and the school library.

This is something I have always personally wanted to do from a younger age. It will mean a lot to me to be able to work with and spend time with the local children out in Uganda. Some of my family and friends travelled out with the group last year and seeing how life changing their experience was to both themselves and the local people out there, it has made me even more excited for the trip. The money raised will be used to help me get to Uganda, fund some of the continuing projects and will be used to sponsor a child.

Any donation given, no matter how small will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, I am really looking forward to the trip and will be sharing memories along with photos when I return.

Thanks- Megan Xxx
