Megan Bocker is a 16 year old girl from Gillingham Dorset, Studying at Welbeck Defence College with the Army. Megan is taking part in a voyage with the Jubilee Sailing Trust on the 13th -19th August 2017 where she will assist veterans with disabilities to take part in the daily life of a voyage on a tall trip to give people back a sense of adventure .

The JST is very excited to welcome Welbeck College on board for the opportunity of a lifetime. The New Zealand voyages will be an incredible adventure and a great opportunity to explore the coastline. Students will also gain their leadership at sea qualification during the voyage; this is a great talking point for their CV and UCAS statement.

Whilst on board STS Tenacious students will have the privilege of working alongside people living with a disability. They will assist them with a number of activities including climbing the mast, helming the ship and setting the sails. Students will not only be embarking on a great adventure, they truly will be changing lives

Megan is trying to raise £2500 , £1000 goes directly to Jubilee Sailing Trust to take part in the voyage, £1500 is needed to cover Megan's flight to New Zealand to join the Ship, Insurance and other travel costs. Any Excess money will of course go directly to the Jubilee Sailing Trust to help with other voyages. If anyone out there is able to help towards flight costs or travel costs in any other way it would be much appreciated.

During Megans time on the voyage she will keep a diary of her adventures and how she helped others which obviously she would share with you all ....
