Story

Megan Dafydd was diagnosed with T1 Diabetes at 10 years old on September 7th 2019.  After spending 10 days on Cilgerran Ward at West Wales General Hospital she returned home and was soon back in school at Carreg Hirfaen, Cwmann.  Megan now has multiple daily injections of insulin to control her diabetes.  She can eat anything she wishes although has to consider carbohydrate content, for insulin quantities to be calculated and administered.  Friends, family and staff at school have been incredibly supportive since Megan’s diagnosis.  Megan is looking to raise awareness of Type 1 Diabetes and raise some funds for the ‘Children’s Diabetes Trust Fund – Carmarthenshire’; by holding various events in forthcoming months.  The first is to be a sponsored walk of 5 miles in the Cwmann area which will take place on January 1st 2020.  Please support Megan and give a donation to this cause that Megan will benefit from directly in times ahead.  Thank you for your support and generosity. Diolch yn fawr iawn. You are welcome to join us for the walk on New Year's Day.
