💛 It is with all of your help and generosity that Summer is now starting private physiotheraphy at Heel & Toe, a fantastic centre with lots to offer. I can‘t wait to be able to share with you all Summers developement within the coming months. We know this is going to be a slow process but with the right support and help we know Summer will get there. 💛

💛 We’ve been faced with a barrier in terms of getting Summer to the US, due to covid and the treatment not been life threatening we are struggling with potential extra medical bills in the US and also Visas. Summer has also been quite poorly in the last week making the flight a risk.

Fortunately for Summer we have contacted a company in UK who works directly with an oxygen company in the US and hires out the oxygen chambers and we are going to have one of these delivered to home, we feel this is a much better and safer option for Summer saving us taking her on a flight and potentially ending up with huge medical bills in the US.

This way Summer can still continue to receive her treatment and physio at the RVI & go home for an hour per day for her Oxygen Therapy. We are over the moon that the therapy can start as soon as next week giving Summer the best possibly chance. We need to continue our fundraising as this is a costly process. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or HBOT, is a type of treatment used to speed up healing of infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen.

Long term we hope to give Summer the chance to attend an intense rehabilitation centre in Switzerland cereneo which is one of the world’s leading clinics in the field of brain trauma for rehabilitation.

🌟 As many of you are aware my beautiful niece Summer had a traumatic incident several weeks back now where she suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at home, luckily for Summer her amazing Mam was able to give her life saving CPR… Something which 100% needs to be in the school curriculum but that’s for another day. Summer was placed in an induced coma to attempt to rest her brain from been starved of oxygen. During Summers time in a Coma she contracted Pneumonia, sepsis, Rhinovirus, RSV and many more infections.

Summer faces many obstacles daily and as a family we have been told Summers quality of life is now very uncertain and wont be how it was previously, we refuse to accept bad news.

My heartfelt ask now is for your help… due to the obstacles Summer is now facing we are now looking to get her Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) in order to hopefully gain some quality of life and we can only hope and pray for her.

I will be holding a fundraising day on Saturday 11th September at Backworth Golf Course from 5pm, all welcome bring your friends, neighbours, family, kids. We will have a range of things going on raffles, cake sales, treasure hunt and much more.
