Our beautiful church in the village of mackworth which has been set alight tonight if you could spare a £1 I'm sure the church would be most grateful

I was devastated when I saw the church had been on fire. We had my Dad's funeral there and I always felt that he was "left" at the alter. I hope it can be restored to some sort of it's former glory.

I have no direct connection to the church, but was deeply saddened to hear of the destruction of the church. Sending best wishes for a Reconstruction/Resurrection of your church home.

Remembering how beautiful this church was in 1979 when I married there. The reverend Henry Dane priest in charge at that time made our day one to remember.
