I've raised £2000 to Give to the Bramble Children’s ward at The Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, to support the Charity’s Starfish appeal

Hi im Mel Bishop/Peck. Here is our story. Rob and I have 3 wonderful boys Harry 5, George 4 and Will 15 months. We want to raise money for Bramble Children’s ward at Exeter Hospital because since having our youngest son Will, we have spent alot of time there, on the truly wonderful Bramble ward. He has had 13 admissions since he was born and spent both christmas’s and his first birthday in hospital. Will was born with a rare genetic disorder, Pallister Hall syndrome. This means he suffers from breathing difficulties and seizures along with a number of other things. We feel very blessed as he is the happiest little boy and we have been surrounded and supported by the most amazing nurses, doctors and consultants. We wanted to raise funds to help them help even more families. As you might know I quite like being active!!! and love a challenge so ... myself and some wonderful crazy friends Nephie Dickinson and Naomi Thorne are going to be doing a half Ironman for this amazing cause. When i say half Ironman, it obviously isnt just any half iron man.. we will be doing the immortal half Wimbleball in July. Consisting of a 1.2 mile swim, very very hilly 56miles on a bike and then 13.1 mile run, also hilly. So if you are able to spare a few pennies for this amazing cause, myself Nephie and Naomi would be very very grateful. Thank you. 🏊♀️🚴🏻♀️ 🏃♀️🥵
Update! Due to current curcumstances we have not been able to complete the event we initially intended to, so I along with some wonderful friends decided to do it ourselves anyway, Nephie & Andy completed a gruling 70.3 miles plus a bit extra on 28th June. Ali, Andy, Lisa and I will be complleting different versions of the event this weekend. Each doing 70.3 miles.
The money we raise will be put towards the RD&E Charity’s Starfish Appeal, which aims to raise £450,000 to transform areas within children’s services at the RD&E. The charity plan to create a warm, bright and engaging space for children, young people and their families in the children's ward and outpatient areas.
