Raising £4,000 for a Specialist Wheelchair for James

Many of you may remember that several years ago, when James was 12, we launched a campaign to help get him to America for surgery that would improve his ability to walk. Thanks to the incredible generosity of local businesses, friends, and the wider community, we were able to reach that goal—and we were truly overwhelmed by the support.

Now, James is almost 25. He’s grown into a young man who values his independence and enjoys getting out and about on his own. Recently, he had the chance to try a specialist wheelchair that would make a real difference in his day-to-day life—giving him the freedom and mobility he deserves. This chair is all - terrain, which means he’ll be able to go to the beach, or even up a fell. Something he has never been able to do before.

Unfortunately, the cost of this equipment is extremely high, and we need to raise £4,000 to help cover it. We’ve got some fundraising plans in the pipeline, so please keep an eye out for updates.
