I am raising money for this amazing charity that I am so passionate about called GIRLS OUT LOUD. This is a charitable fund and none profit organisation (charity no 722574) I have been following their work for over a year now and speaking regularly with a couple of the ladies who work for the charity.

Our mission is to raise the aspirations of teenage girls in the UK aged between 13-18 and we do this by creating and delivering several early intervention programmes in schools from one day to three months, facilitaing a nationwide mentoring programme called BIG SISTER.

This is a programme I will be starting this week, finally. After hearing some horrific stories about young girls over the past couple of years I feel there is so much we can do by just helping out the schools by offering this support to the girls who may not feel they have anywhere to turn.

I have been through such a rollarcoaster since being a teenager and overcome so many things, physically and emotionally.

Through my own experiences I feel I can really help. People who think they knew me when I was younger didn't really know the real me. I struggled with confidence, I didn't value myself and felt worthless all the way in to my early 20's. Now I feel I am in a place where I am happy and confident in myself, allowing me to pass on my advice and support to any girl who needs it.

So I will be being a volunteer with the team and mentoring young girls throughout the year in the hope to help some of the next generation of women be strong, confident and able to speak out. To try and prevent young girls from getting in to bad situations that could be avoided. Help me raise some money for GIRLS OUT LOUD! GIRL POWER! X X X
