Story

Our little Melissa, Melissa Grace Hatton, passed away on Saturday the 3rd of July peacefully in her sleep. She had not been ill and we have no explanation how or why. As you can imagine our little family is devastated she was our absolute world and we adored her. Melissa was the most kind person and in her 24 years lived life to the full And achieved so much, she was a daughter to be so very very proud of. Melissa never wasted a minute of her time. Her passions in life were her beautiful horses, Naughty Norman and Dirty Bertie along with competing at the British Show Pony Society Shows, Melissa was an aspiring young teacher who adored her class and was known not as Miss Hatton but as Miss Honey to the children that she taught, Melissa also baked a cracking cake, socialising with all her friends and with the Young Farmers. Whenever there was a party Melissa would be there looking fabulous. Melissa loved clothes and fashion and was rarely seen in the same outfit twice. However, at home she always wore pyjamas and odd socks no matter what time it was.

This page has been set up in her beautiful memory to raise money for three causes close to her heart:

a trophy/sponsorship in her name for the British Show Pony Society, Nottinghamshire Young Farmers for a trophy in her name, we already think the most glamorous trophy is very fitting and Mansfield Primary Academy School to take her lovely year 1‘s on a residential trip.

I will keep everyone updated where the money has been sent.

We are all heartbroken and life will never be the same again.

Please leave lovely comments of how you knew Melissa and any memories when donating as we get so much comfort from reading them.
