Story
Having visited Lombok around 3 or 4 years ago I was lucky enough to meet a group of fantastic people that worked in a local bar with whom I became friends with including a young girl called Mellong. We have kept in touch ever since via Facebook and was pleased to hear last year that she has since had a beautiful baby (as featured in the picture).
However the recent earthquake in this area has all but destroyed their house and without any form of welfare state in the country it has left them SLEEPING ROUGH IN A TENT.
It is estimated that the cost to repair the house is somewhere around £500-£700. Obviously to an Indonesian person that is a huge amount of money. As such they currently have no prospect of returning to their home and providing the baby with a safe living environment.
There are tens of thousands of people that are homeless in this region and no one is more deserving than another. But wouldn't it be an incredible thing to ACTUALLY KNOW (I will get pictures to anyone who donates that wishes to see them!) you have changed this young families life in such a hugely positive way?
The target seems ambitious and anything you could give would be amazing but realistically we only need around 100 people to give at least £5 to reach the target. Imagine the joy that £5 contribution will make to this family's life...we can do this!!!!
