Story
In December 2017 our family suffered the loss of our daughter Elizabeth just hours after she was born. A week later our son had to return to school while struggling to understand why the baby sister he had been expecting was not with us.
During the first few weeks he received help at school and asked questions in a way only he could. Sometimes we would just sit and think about Libby and talk about whatever he wanted. Now we are looking to help other children who have lost loved ones and need somewhere to sit, think and eventually talk.
We are raising money to build a memory garden within the school so that children who have lost someone or who find life difficult have somewhere calm to think, take time out and work out how to deal with what they are feeling. In the garden there will be a letter box where the children can post letters to those that they have lost.
As part of this I'll be abseiling the Church Langley water tower on 6th May. Any help you can give will make a difference to children struggling with a loss they won't yet understand. This won't be the only thing we do to raise money in memory of Libby if you would like to help us, please just ask.
