On Saturday 19th June 2021 13 members of Mendip cycling club will take on the challenge to Chase the sun!

This 205 mile bike ride starts at sunrise on the coast in Kent and finishes as sunset in Burnham on sea. We have just under 17 hours to beat the sun! This distance for amateur cyclists is an extreme challenge and knowing we are doing it for such a good cause will hopefully get us to the end before the sun goes down!

The daughter of one of our members attends Avalon school in Street, Somerset and we have decided we would like to use this challenge to raise funds to enable the school to purchase a special needs bicycle. One of these bicycles costs in the region of £5000 so that is our target for this fundraiser. Anything you are able to donate will help us to get to our target and we would be so grateful.
