Story
Men's Minds Matter is a not for profit organisation which relies on the kind support of volunteers and the generosity of good people.
This year's fundraiser will see the Men's Minds Matter Mountain Biking Team take on the Trans Cambrian Way with the support of Sean Howell from Marmalade Mtb.
It's a more technical off road experience compared to last year's South Downs Way challenge. It's also a little longer at 105 miles with more climbing - 13500ft in total. That's three Ben Nevis' or a Ben Nevis each day!
With your kind donations of over £2000 from last year fundraiser, we've been able to keep going, cover costs and begin redesigning the website. Not only that we now offer THERAPY AT NO COST.
What, no cost? That's right, thanks to your support, Men's Mind Matter has been offering two sessions every week to male residents living in Southwark who are struggling with suicidal thoughts and life crises. This year we're looking to double that offer with the support of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience.
Other projects we're working on include the development of self help material for our website, a broader website redesign, further development of the Men's Institute (now at 109 members), production of the MMM podcast, and further blog pieces. We continue to actively research and support others including students, researchers and organisations. We also remain on the non-executive committee of the National Suicide Prevention Alliance.
All donations go towards providing a greater suite of services and building on our sustainable model. Many thanks for your support.
