Over the years so many of us have lost someone to a mental health illness or go day to day seeing someone suffer or are in the midst of a tough time. In april 2020 I want to hike the first 700 miles on the PCT TRAIL in memory of my mum who died & struggled alone from paranoid scizophrenia, for all my friends who live with a mental illness and for all the people in this harsh world that have been effected at some point in their lives someway by mental health. I want to place a memorial at the top of Forresters pass view point in the sierra nevada mountains, in memory of ‘Cheryl Holmes‘ & anyone else YOU would like me to place on the memorial. Im fundraising for my kit to complete the hike, for equipment so I can document the experience for a mental health blog & so I can be an ambassador for helping people understand, help and care for people with a mental illness. Im hoping my journey through the hike, story & history of a previous mental illness myself and blog will help inspire other people to help similar causes and give a focal point for anyone struggling :) I want this to be a huge campaign and help 1000s of people In anyway possible.
