Story
When you support Mental Health Today your money will be used to source and spread the word about innovative examples of mental health care.
Sharing “what good looks like” supports services to improve their level of care and individuals to bolster their own personal mental health.
You are providing a positive push - not just a nudge - towards positive change.
Donations already received are funding journalism contributing to ending out-of area-care, making crisis care compassionate and humane, putting a stop to racial profiling, and supporting the isolated and those experiencing change in their lives. Together we are also campaigning for the Mental Health Act to evolve appropriately.
From autumn 2018 donations will be received via PayPal in the Support MHT section of our website rather than JustGiving, but givers will continue to receive regular updates both on our website and through our newsletters on where the money is being spent and the achievements that are being made.
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! If you haven't already, please take a look at the Disorders Information Hub and In Our Right Mind campaign section you have funded.

7 years agoDistress needs to be better understood. We are pleased to share with you 'Disorders Explained', Mental Health Today's new mini-site, designed to support people as and when they are in distress. Labels are simplistic. We have gone deeper and tried to create the most rounded, informed, up-to-date portal you will find online. Whether you are in distress yourself, are a concerned relative or friend, or a mental health student or professional, the videos, articles, information and support are for you: www.mentalhealthtoday.co.uk/disorders

Mental Health Today
7 years agoWe want the law governing mental health - the Mental Health Act - to change this year. We want the new law to give individuals the right to know what treatment is planned for them when they are first sectioned for mental health care. We are also campaigning for it to allow individuals to nominate which relative can advocate for them if they are too distressed to advocate for themselves
