Story
WELCOME!
Mentivity was founded in January 2016 and since then we have been searching for a home to be able to bring the community together through our work. WE FINALLY HAVE OUR OWN HOME! But we need your support!
“Mentivity have been instrumental in the communities they work in and continue to be a beacon of light to all who they come into contact with through their work. I want to be a part of that legacy and light.
— Joivan Wade, Mentivity Ambassador
What is Mentivity?
Mentivity is an inspirational mentoring organisation and alternative educational provision that aims to provide aspirational support for young people, schools and parents through 1:1 mentoring and group conversation based learning for both boys and girls.
We provide structured mentoring and educational support for our diverse spectrum of young people through their journey of adolescence by using conversation based learning whilst providing information, advice and guidance.
Mentivity are committed to helping and assisting our young people, giving them the opportunity to achieve their true potential and shape their futures through empowerment, accountability, critical thinking, perseverance, responsibility and humility.

Our Mission...
Mentivity aim to mentor and support as many of our young people, families, schools and the wider community as possible, to counteract the daily issues our young people face daily. We are focused on enhanced social cohesion, social mobility, improve educational outcomes and raise aspirations for our youth.

We are proud to have reached so many young people but with your help and support we can do so much more…

AWARD WINNERS!
We have achieved so much in just over 5 years! Mentivity were named as winners of The National Mentoring Programme of the Year at the inaugural National Mentoring Awards in 2019.
Mentivity celebrated as innovators and pioneers for our work in the community at the Mayor of Southwark’s Capital Ideas - Innovation and business Dinner held in April 2019.

In April 2021, Mentivity were named winners of the Southwark Civic Award from the Mayor of Southwark, recognised for our exceptional contributions to both civic and community life in Southwark over the last five and half years.Apart from the rarely-conferred Honorary Freedom of Southwark, the Southwark Civic Awards are the most prestigious the council can make, with only a handful of citizens awarded an honour each year.

Our New Home...
As mentioned in our short video we have managed to secure a 5 year lease for a new Mentivity Community Centre Hub that will allow us to bring our community together and allow us to become self-sufficient in time by renting out our community hall, office space and by hosting events.

We of course have many associated start up costs with this new facility and this money will help us to cover our overheads, run sessions and projects for the local community from the start of our tenancy.

Why We Need Your Support...
COVID-19 has impacted us all in ways we could never have imagined. Despite this we have been working hard to make sure we provide our support to those that need it.
Please help my organisation, Mentivity to raise the necessary funds to further increase our offer to young people, families and schools that desperately need our service during this global pandemic.
I’d appreciate if you share, donate or raise awareness of our important work, our young people and their families need us more than ever right now.
