    Story

My name is Katie and as well as being an Etsy Shop owner and a Mummy I have bipolar disorder and a mental health campaigner.

After a very long battle with mental illness, 15 years trying to get the right help and battling the NHS which ultimately resulted in my planning to end my life I am not now in a place where things are finally better which has given me a HUGE passion for mental mental healrh awareness and helping others.

I started My website www.mentalhealthjourney.co.uk where I blog, vlog and send "Happy post" free to those struggling with mental health issues.

From there I hung messages of hope to a bridge known for suicide, then a hearts of hope project for work mental health day which were 150 messages of hope hung to a park entrance for people to take away.
I have recently done numerous interviews to promote metal mental health awareness and currently have another 4 planned projects including local libraries and more outdoor projects around Christmas as this can be a difficult time for people struggling with mental illness.

The problem is due to the winter and so materials having to change that will withstand the weather and the number of projects I aim to do the cost is mounting and I simply cannot cover it all being one person so have set this up to see if I can get some help with materials needed which would be hugely appreciated no matter how small!
These projects make a difference to people and have been so well received so any help is so appreciated and will go towards me being able to carry out the Christmas projects I have planned to raise awareness and hopefully give people a little hope and comfort.
