I've raised £1000 to help raise funds for Messingham Primary School

When we think about our child hoods one of the most prominent memories, we all have is our school days. The friends we made, the teachers who taught us and the fun we had. I think everyone would agree that we want our children to be happy, and to look back at their school days with fond memories. This year everyone's lives changed dramatically and going back to school for our children has been a huge step in gaining some form of normality. During the trying times of this pandemic, all the teaching staff at Messingham School put themselves at risk to care for our children, they provided them with support, a listening ear, a happy face and a place to feel safe when they couldn't be at home. Messingham School is at the heart of our community, and we want to see that it continues to be an amazing part of our children's memories. The school strives to make our children happy, to provide them with a fun and caring atmosphere that they will enjoy learning in. So, we would like to help give back to the school, and to try and raise the funds they need for IT equipment that our children can gain real knowledge and experience from.
Marc Brooks a local resident is going to run a Marathon (26.2miles) around the school field on Friday November 13th. That is a lot of laps! Marc would love your support in making this fundraiser a success. Not just for the school, but for the children who are the heart and soul of it. Marc has previously run half Marathons to raise money for local charities and was due to take part in The Great North run this year which was sadly postponed due to Covid-19. He has also taken part in a bridge to bridge bike ride raising funds for 2 other local schools.
