Story
Our aim is to facilitate a change in how people think of mental health. The conversion shouldn’t be entirely about self-care and avoiding difficult or uncomfortable situations. Life is difficult. We want people to influence their environment and create change. This all starts with self-expression and the process of understanding one’s thoughts.
Donated money will aid the foundation of a ‘Mental Health Advocacy for Creatives Fund’ (MHAC). The MHAC Fund aims to provide real opportunities for creative collaboration and offer people the chance to learn and connect with an array of like-minded people. The fund will be used to organise events and workshops and provide resources and grants to introduce people to art in all its forms, while creating prosperity for various creatives who openly struggle with their mental health.
Tom Royston is the driving force behind this wonderful cause. An artist whose journey is closely aligned with the advocacy of mental health, he is striving to create a foundation that offers much-needed support to those who have experienced hardships with their own mental wellbeing.
To say thank you, every donor will receive a signed edition print from the artist. In addition, the incredible work created by Tom Royston at the debut "In Tune With" event on the 27th of June is being donated to the fund, and will be given away to one lucky donor, with a live prize draw being held to announce the winner on the 26th of August 2022.
We'd like to say a massive thank you to all who donate; your support will help facilitate much-needed assistance for creatives who struggle with their mental health and help those creatives influence their environment and bring more creativity to the world.
(The name and details of the fund are liable to change. Our absolute priority is the mental well-being of our fellow creatives, and the use of your donation will reflect our goal.)
