Catarina will be carrying out various challenges over the next year to help raise funds towards her World Scout Jamboree 2019 trip. My name is Catarina Carr, I am 13 years old and I have been scouting since I was 5 1/2 years old as a Beaver, Cub and now a Scout. I am very fortunate to be selected to represent The Scout Association UK and Avon County Scouts at the World Scout Jamboree in America in 2019. This event will be very exciting and a fantastic opportunity. I will be experiencing different programs in America including community, nature, adventure and environmental projects with over 55000 young Scouts and Guides from all over the world. The cost of the trip is £3495 for which I am fundraising by bag packs, table stalls, also various events, sponsored challenges and corporate charity donations, even match funding…

If I was fortunate to have help and support to fund this trip I would experience a positive life change by working as part of a group and with others from all over the world, gaining confidence and knowledge and also delivering different activities. I would gain knowledge and understanding of change and projects in Guiding and Scouting from an international perspective which will allow me to influence our Scout groups in the UK and finally gain a once in a life time international adventure and friendship.
