I'm raising £5,000 for Bridgend & District Schools' U11's Rugby.

Bridgend & District Schools U11's (BDSRU U11's) are a schools rugby organisation that oversees and facilitates all primary school rugby in Bridgend County. We also operate a representative team where the most talented young players from Bridgend have the opportunity to challenge themselves against other district teams across Wales and compete in the prestigious DC Thomas Cup competition.

BDSRU U11's are the most successful district team in Wales. To date there have been 53 DC Thomas Cup finals with Bridgend appearing in 29 finals and winning 21 times. Bridgend are the current DC Thomas Cup holders after an unbeaten 2024/25 season.

We run run a squad of 34 players each season which consists of two teams that play over 20 games each. There are considerable costs (£4000-£5000) associated with operating the team each year such as a training training venue, post game food, equipment etc.

We have an annual tour to Paris where the players get to experience French culture and play some of the best teams in Paris. The trip culminates with a Top 14 fixture at the Incredible La Defense Arena, home of Racing 92.

The aim is to raise funds to help cover the operational costs of the team and pay towards each player attending the annual tour. The experience the players have on tour is fantastic so we do not want there to be any financial barriers to any player not being able to come on tour.
