Story
It is estimated that 15 million babies are born preterm annually – that means 1 baby in 10 is born premature. Worldwide. And the number is rising. One million of these babies will not survive.
As part of World Prematurity Day on 17 November, I will be running 100KM on Sunday 21 November (can't beat a Sunday run) to raise money for the Special Care Baby Units in Daisy Hill & Craigavon Hospitals.
This awareness day is very close to home as our two little boys were born prematurely and it was the most emotional time of our lives and such a tough experience. The staff in both Daisy Hill and Craigavon SCBUs went above and beyond for my boys and we are so so grateful. That's why the money raised will be going to them as a way to say a massive thank you.
So, please if you can spare a few quid it would be greatly appreciated!! Every little helps!
If you are also free on Sunday 21 November to join me on my run around the Newry area, please do join me!
I am also hoping to host a little fundraising night before the run (Details to follow).
Thank you so much for supporting!
