Boxing has an extremely positive, far reaching impact on our social welfare. It is a very easy sport to make accessible even to those with the most limited resources and is attractive to people from all classes and backgrounds. The benefits of the healthy lifestyle it promotes have of course been well documented.

Boxing brings together people of all races which is very constructive in the current climate. Through our sport, people who wouldn't otherwise meet or who would rarely interact, inadvertently learn about how to accept each other’s differences, they learn about mutual respect and of course how to relate with each other through what they have in common. This has an incredible wider benefit on society.

By making boxing accessible we bring it into the heart of our society where it teaches many important values which somehow seem to have gone amiss as society has evolved. It installs the value of self discipline, respect for others, sportsmanship, and fair-play. Tenacity, the value of hard work and of not giving up.

Boxing brings young people together from all different cultures and backgrounds and helps them to realise their similarities while simultaneously learning to accept each other's differences and how to get along side by side. The world needs young people to learn and care about each other and boxing is a perfect vessel to make this happen.

Through this trip we will reward many young boxers for the efforts they have made to progress as well as increase their knowledge of the world as they visit a new country and make new friends there.
