I've raised £5000 to Support Head Squash Coach, Michael Hennings through his cancer treatment

I'm sure as many of you will be aware, Michael Hennings, Surbiton Head Squash Coach was diagnosed with cancer in the summer. We have been pleased to see him around the club more recently after settling into the routine of his treatment.
Surbiton club has seen three generations of the Hennings' family as active members, with Michael being integral to the club for many decades. Starting as a junior, Michael found a passion for squash at a young age, going on to represent the Surbiton squash teams both as a junior and adult, before becoming Head Coach and helping to further develop squash at Surbiton. In particular, the junior squash offering has gone from strength to strength under Michael's leadership, seeing our highest ever levels of junior participation, with the coaching programme producing some of the top ranked junior players in the Country, including both of Michael's daughters.
During his career Michael also coached and built up a squash programme at The Lensbury club for over 12 years and is the Surrey boys Head coach and South East Aspire Assistant coach.
Michael is now half way through his first stage of treatment and after a difficult start with numerous unplanned stays in hospital due to infections, thankfully the last couple of months have been going more to plan. Last week he underwent a series of progress scans, the results of which were positive, showing he has been responding well to the treatment.
This is of course great news, but still with a long and challenging road ahead, we as the club and wider squash community would like to show our continued support to him and his family. Michael has given a huge amount of time, effort and commitment to the Club and every role he's had through his passion for the sport, but is currently unable to be on court due to his treatment.
With this in mind, the Club in conjunction with Surrey Squash and The Lensbury club have set up a Just Giving Page to help support Michael and his family at this time. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
