Our father David "Dee" Johnson; died earlier this month at the age of 80 after suffering for a number of years with diabetes and heart failure. These resulted in him suffering from difficulties with his kidney function.

Five years ago suffering from renal failure he was admitted to the kidney institute and following a review of his medication, they reduced his daily intake from 48 to 21 tablets a day!

Unfortunately this time, he arrived too late for them to save him, but the quality of care and attention he received from all we encountered was amazing.

Losing Dee has left a massive hole in the lives of all who loved him, he held so much love and humour in his heart and was the patriarch of a massive extended family who now wish to honour his memory by helping to raise money to support the wonderful work of this institution.
